Congratulations to Jing (co-first author) and our wet-lab collaborators at the Vanderbilt Conte Center on the paper An open-source analytical platform for analysis of C. elegans swimming induced paralysis published in the Journal of Neuroscience Methods. The paper describes SwimR, an R-based suite that calculates, analyzes, and plots the frequency of C. elegans swimming behavior over time. It places a particular emphasis on identifying paralysis and quantifying the kinetic elements of paralysis during swimming. SwimR is available at Bioconductor.
